2024 Year in Review: An Industry Coping with Dramatic Changes

NEW YORK—Monroe College has introduced its newest degree: BS in Professional Studies, a perfect fit for the adult learner:
The BS in Professional Studies program offers a career/college-completer sequence of courses that focuses on the skills that employers require across a broad range of vocations. Courses include those in the chosen concentration, augmented by courses in critical thinking, problem-solving, leadership, communications, and management.
The program is designed to accommodate up to a total of 90 transfer, CLEP, and Prior Learning credits awarded for life experience demonstrated by military and workforce training, national examinations, and portfolio development. The program also offers a prior learner protocol of two non-credit-bearing courses that guide students through the assessment process in order to gain credit for their work and life experience.
Monroe has a three-semester academic year that allows you to graduate faster. It offers evening, weekend, daytime, on-line and virtual, on campus (Bronx and New Rochelle) and hybrid courses,
as well as special 7½ week modules, all designed to fit with your part-time or full-time work schedule.
Monroe College offers Associate, Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees with majors in seven academic areas: Business and Accounting, IT, Allied Health, Nursing, Criminal Justice, Education, Hospitality & Culinary.
