NAR: Northeast Existing-Home Sales Spiked by 8.5% in November; Prices Rose Nearly 10%

HGAR supports legislation that adds affordable rent-stabilized apartments to the rental housing stock that are safe, lead-free, energy efficient, and fully compliant with building codes.
Studies have shown that the construction of 100 units of multifamily housing generates an average of 161 jobs and $11.7 million into the local economy in the first year.
Last year, more than 110 HGAR members attended Lobby Day, which represented one-third of the total turnout of the entire New York State Association of Realtors in Albany. With two busloads of Realtors, HGAR came out in force and that effort was recognized.
This year, we defeated Good Cause Eviction again and lifted the ban of solicitous phone calls — both highlights for HGAR's advocacy efforts and big wins for members.
Each County Day includes a Government Power Hour. This one was particularly substantive, and provided insights into the inner workings of Albany.
