President Anthony Domathoti welcomed everyone to the Mohonk Mountain House. He thanked everyone for attending the Board Meeting and the 2022 HGAR Directors’ and Officers’ Orientation.
Treasurer Carmen Bauman presented the Treasurer’s Report as of Jan. 1, 2022, a copy of which was provided to the Directors. After discussion, the report was approved for filing. CEO Haggerty then reported on HGAR’s Dues Receipts Report.
President Domathoti requested confirmation by the Directors of the following individuals appointed by him to the 2022 Finance Committee pursuant to Article XIII, Section 6 of the HGAR Bylaws: Chair (HGAR Treasurer): Carmen Bauman, Designee of the Education Council: Toni Chrystal, Members at Large: John Barrett, Joseph Lippolis, Gary Leogrande, Gail Fattizzi, Tony D’Anzica, and Crystal Hawkins-Syska, as appointed by President Domathoti, and Ex Officio Member: Domathoti. After review, the Directors confirmed the appointments to the Finance Committee.
CEO Richard Haggerty and Brian Levine, Esq., In-House Counsel, Director of Legal Services and Professional Standards, then jointly presented on overview of Director Responsibilities in Professional Standards enforcement and administration.
In-House Counsel Brian Levine, Esq. then presented the latest Ethics Decisions to the Board of Directors. Levine presented the Ethics Decision designated as 287-E, which was provided to each of the Directors prior to the meeting. After review and discussion, the Directors approved the recommendation of the Hearing Panel.
In-House Counsel Levine reminded the Directors and Officers that the Professional Standards Training and continuing education course on the Code of Ethics was being offered on March 7th and 8th and recommended that all Directors and Officers attend.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Officer Freddimir Garcia then reported on various DEI initiatives. He also reported that the DEI Committee is presently considering conducting a DEI Summit.
Director Fattizzi then provided an update on the progress of HGAR’s Leadership Accelerator Program.
