Burke Rehabilitation’s Purchase/Fairfield Outpatient Therapy site provides a range of services including vestibular therapy, sports medicine and rehabilitation, concussion management, orthopedic medicine and rehabilitation, and physical therapy.
PURCHASE—Simone Development Companies and Fareri Associates joined with Burke Rehabilitation on Sept. 12 at Purchase Professional Park to celebrate the ribbon cutting of its expanded Purchase/Fairfield Outpatient Therapy Site at 3020 Westchester Ave.
The ceremony also featured elected officials, business, and clinical leaders from across Westchester and Fairfield (CT) counties.
Burke Rehabilitation, which is a nationally recognized and accredited provider of physical and medical rehabilitation with 13 outpatient locations throughout the Bronx, Westchester County, and the Hudson Valley, in addition to its hospital in White Plains, signed a long-term lease for an additional 2,330 square feet of space at Purchase Professional Park, expanding its medical footprint to 5,132 square feet. Burke Rehabilitation’s Purchase/Fairfield Outpatient Therapy site provides a range of services including vestibular therapy, sports medicine and rehabilitation, concussion management, orthopedic medicine and rehabilitation, and physical therapy.
“Burke Rehabilitation’s expansion at Purchase Professional Park is a testament to their commitment to providing exceptional healthcare and a powerful reminder of the vitality and innovation that defines this corridor,” said Joe Simone, President of Simone Development Companies. “We are thrilled to join Burke Rehabilitation and various local officials and clinical leaders in celebrating the unveiling of their expanded, cutting-edge facility in a convenient campus setting that’s become a hub of medical excellence.”
“The expansion of our Purchase/Fairfield Outpatient Therapy site represents a significant step forward in our mission to increase access to high-quality rehabilitation care across this region,” said Scott Edelman, CPA, MBA, CFE, Executive Director of Burke Rehabilitation. “This facility not only enhances our ability to provide personalized, patient-centered care, but also reaffirms our commitment to the communities we serve, ensuring that our neighbors in both Westchester and Fairfield counties can receive the one-on-one care that sets Burke apart.”
Among the state and county political leaders speaking at the event were New York State Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins; New York State Senator Shelley Mayer; New York Assembly Members Chris Burdick and Steve Otis; Deputy County Executive Ken Jenkins; County Board of Legislators Chairman Vedat Gashi and County Legislator Ben Boykin. Representing neighboring Fairfield County were Greenwich Board of Selectmen Members Lauren Rabin and Janet Stone McGuigan.
The site serves orthopedic patients of all ages, ranging from young athletes to middle-aged and older adults, ensuring that each patient achieves the maximum functional recovery from illness, injury, or disability.
Originally opened in 2002, the Purchase/Fairfield site was the first of Burke’s 13 outpatient facilities located throughout the tristate area. The expansion will permit Burke’s expert therapists to support up to 15,000 patient visits annually at the site. The renovated facility’s open layout will allow therapists to use more dynamic activities and treatments to optimize patients’ functions, offering new strength and cardio equipment to help reinforce therapy sessions, Burke officials stated. The space was intentionally designed to foster a personalized healing environment for every patient, through hands-on care at individual treatment mats and privacy during initial evaluations.
