The Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors and its award-winning Global Council recently participated in the National Association of Realtors USA Pavilion at MIPIM, the world’s leading real estate event, contributing to the economic development of the Hudson Valley and New York City region, promoting HGAR members and our market and expanding our global footprint.

Participating in MIPIM opens up a world of opportunities, directly and indirectly benefiting HGAR Members. NAR partners with associations and agencies from across the U.S. to increase awareness of markets in the U.S. with commercial and luxury development opportunities and to connect prospective contacts and clients with NAR Members.

MIPIM draws more than 26,000 attendees from 100 countries, including 5,000 investors seeking opportunities.

New Global Partnerships

This year HGAR expanded its network of partners by signing five new Memorandums of Understanding (MOU):

  • FIABCI Europe
  • FIABCI Suisse (Switzerland)
  • FIABCI France
  • FIABCI Belgium
  • FIABCI Saudi Arabia

These partnerships allow us to explore inbound and outbound global opportunities for HGAR Members and to expand the exposure for our market and our members. We can collaborate on business generating opportunities such as Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) courses, virtual and in-person programming, trade missions, events and revenue producing initiatives.

HGAR, NAR’s ambassador association to Portugal, also has partnerships in Brazil, Spain, Poland, Canada, Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, and Nigeria.

Upcoming Global Summit in New York City

HGAR and fellow host associations will be inviting members of foreign partner associations to the 2025 Global Summit in New York City on November 5. Since NAR’s NXT Conference will take place in Boston immediately following the summit, we hope to capture the global attendees traveling to NAR NXT and host them in New York City first. Members who attend the summit will be able to network and do business directly with foreign delegates from countries across the world.

Look for more information on the Global Summit and HGAR global initiatives and opportunities in future columns and on GlobalRESummit.com and on the Global Council page on HGAR.com.
