WHITE PLAINS—The Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors regrets to inform its membership that Interim HGAR CEO Marty Nash has died unexpectedly.

Nash was appointed last month as Interim CEO while the HGAR Executive Committee continued its search for a new CEO to replace Lynda Fernandez, who left the association earlier this month to take on the role of CEO of the Las Vegas REALTORS.

In an email to all HGAR members earlier today, 2026 HGAR President Rey Hollingsworth Falu announced that Nash had “suddenly and tragically passed away.”

“Although Marty was with HGAR for only a short time, his impact was immediately felt. He stepped into this role with generosity, professionalism, and a sincere commitment to supporting our members, staff, and leadership during a period of transition,” Hollingsworth Falu stated. “Marty brought more than 20 years of experience in association leadership to HGAR, having served the real estate industry in both Miami and Los Angeles. His depth of knowledge, steady presence, and collaborative spirit reflected a lifetime dedicated to strengthening organizations and the professionals they serve.”

The HGAR President added, “We extend our heartfelt condolences to Marty’s family, friends, and colleagues. Information regarding memorial services or opportunities to honor Marty’s life and contributions will be shared with members once details are available.”

HGAR’s Executive Committee, in coordination with senior HGAR staff, will oversee day-to-day operations while the official search for a permanent CEO continues. “Please be assured that HGAR’s operations, services, and advocacy efforts will continue without interruption,” Hollingsworth Falu noted.

On Monday, Dec. 15, HGAR announced Nash had joined HGAR and would officially take over as Interim CEO on Monday, Dec. 29, replacing departing CEO Lynda Fernandez.

Nash had more than 20 years of experience in the Realtor association industry. He has previously served as an Association Executive and consultant, holding key roles such as the COO of the Miami Association of Realtors (MIAMI) and CEO of the Greater Los Angeles Association of Realtors (GLAR).

He served as the CEO of the Greater Los Angeles Association of Realtors through 2023 and has served in consultancy roles with various associations, including HGAR, since then.
