HGAR Named Among Top Trade Associations in New York State

WHITE PLAINS—The Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors has been named among the top trade associations in New York State by City & State New York.

The publication released its inaugural “2025 Top Trade Associations” list on Sept. 22 and HGAR officials noted that its selection “is a testament to the impact of our advocacy, leadership and presence across the region.”

In selecting HGAR, City & State New York noted that HGAR “has more than 13,000 real estate professionals in its membership, including brokers, agents, appraisers and affiliated service providers in the mortgage, title, legal and inspection fields. Its focus is on residential, commercial and international markets in the Hudson Valley, Bronx and Manhattan.”

In the article HGAR Chief Executive Officer Lynda Fernandez detailed the association’s biggest achievements in the past year. “In 2024-2025, HGAR reimagined IMPACT: The Member Experience, hosted a successful Global Real Estate Summit and earned NAR Commercial Services Accreditation. New partnerships with Dearborn Kaplan and RM Friedland expanded learning opportunities, while digital tools and education bundles boosted member value,” Fernandez said. “HGAR strengthened advocacy on housing, co-op transparency and appraisal equity, grew community impact through the foundation, and deepened engagement with the Leadership Accelerator and affiliates, positioning Realtors as leaders in business and civic life across the Hudson Valley and beyond.”

Other real estate and building associations to make the City & State New York inaugural top trade association list included: the Long Island Board of Realtors, the Real Estate Board of New York, The Building & Realty Institute of Westchester & the Mid-Hudson Region, the New York State Builders Association, the New York Building Congress,, the Bedford Stuyvesant Real Estate Board, the Hotel Association of New York City, the Small Property Owners of New York and the Supportive Housing Network of New York.
