LEGAL CORNER: NYC Passes the FARE Act and Restricts the Payment of Commissions by Tenants
The real estate industry has expressed concerns regarding the potential repercussions of the FARE Act.
MAHWAH, NJ—The National Association of Realtors, New York State Association of Realtors, Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors and other regional Realtor associations will hold an all-day Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Summit on June 14 at the Sheraton Mahwah Hotel in Mahwah, NJ.
Program details for the all-day conference (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) were being finalized at press time. Event organizers say the conference is intended to explore, educate and institute actionable steps for individuals, brokers and associations to engage directly with Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and set standards on its importance to the industry and our communities. There will also be a discussion on the difference between DEI and Fair Housing and how DEI can make business sense.
The event is being hosted by the Greater Bergen Realtors, Greater Rochester Association of Realtors, Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors, National Association of Realtors, New Jersey Association of Realtors, New York State Association of Realtors and the North Central Jersey Association of Realtors. A Continental Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
