WHITE PLAINS—The Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors will be holding free events highlighting association initiatives, as well as legislative priorities and business growth opportunities in The Bronx and Orange counties this month.
The first program—Bronx County Day—will be held on Thursday, Sept. 12 at the Castle Hill YMCA from 9 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. The event, which will bring together Realtors, local politicians, developers, and other local groups for discussions, legislative insights, and updates on what is going on in and around The Bronx.
The program will begin with welcome addresses by Joseph Cosentino, Regional Director and Chapter Representative Bronx for HGAR and Lynda Fernandez, RCE, CAE, the Chief Executive Officer of HGAR.
A highly informative Legislative Session will feature moderators Matthew Engel, President, Langsam Property Services and Sandra Erickson, President, Sandra Erickson Real Estate. The panel will include New York State Senator Luis Sepulveda, New York State Senator Nathalia Fernandez, New York State Assemblyman Member Landon Diaz and New York City Council Member Rafael Salamanca.
Up next will be an Economic Development Session that will feature some of the movers and shakers in this sector, including: Lisa Sorin, President, Bronx Chamber of Commerce; David Simone, President, Company Broker, Concourse Realty; Rafael Roger, President, The Business Initiative Corporation of New York and Rob Walsh, President, Bronx Overall Economic Development Corporation.
The Bronx County Day will conclude with a Legal Update presentation on the NAR Commission Settlement by HGAR Legal Counsel John Dolgetta, Esq, Principal, Dolgetta Law, PLLC.

Orange County Day
On Wednesday Sept 25, HGAR will stage Orange County Day at the Country Club at Otterkill in Campbell Hall. Similar to the Bronx County Day, the program is geared to providing lively discussions on legislative matters as well as the latest economic development news in this rapidly growing county.
The program will run from 9 a.m. to noon and will begin with addresses by Carole McCann, Regional Director of Orange County, HGAR and HGAR CEO Fernandez.
A legislative session is planned and scheduled to appear at press time is New York State Senator James Skoufis. The Economic Development Session will feature Conor Eckert, Senior Development Office and VP of Business Attraction, Orange County Partnership and Bill Fioravanti, Chief Executive Officer of the Orange County Industrial Development Agency.
The Orange County Day will conclude with a Legal Update presentation on the NAR Commission Settlement by HGAR Legal Counsel John Dolgetta, Esq, Principal, Dolgetta Law, PLLC.
