HGAR’s Irene Guanill Inducted into NAR RPAC Hall of Fame

While she was immersed in association initiatives, it was her first trip to Albany as part of the association’s annual Lobby Day junket in 2016 that prompted her to contribute to RPAC.

WASHINGTON—Veteran Bronx Realtor and Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors’ member Irene Guanill was inducted into the National Association of Realtors’ RPAC Hall of Fame during NAR’s Legislative Meetings last week.

The members of the New York State Association of Realtors that were inducted into the NAR RPAC Hall of Fame at the NAR meetings were: $50,000 Tier: Mike Coughlin, John Gerace, Sari Kingsley; $25,000 Tier: Irene Guanill, Donna Littlefield, Francine Reali, Joe Rivellino and Kira Witherwax.

Guanill, who began her real estate career in 1997 when she began investing in distressed properties for the purpose of rehabilitation in the Bronx, has been active in advancing Realtor and consumer issues at the national, state and local levels for nearly two decades. She decided to devote her full-time attention to brokerage and became a licensed Real Estate Broker in 2006. Shortly thereafter, Guanill launched Meet the Sellers Realty, LLC, a real estate management company specializing in Bronx residential properties.

An Associate Broker with DeLuca Realty Group Inc. of the Bronx, she currently serves on the HGAR Legislative Steering Committee, the HGAR Nominating Committee and the HGAR RPAC Committee. She previously served as Secretary and Treasurer with HGAR. In addition, she is a member of NYSAR’s Professional Standards/Steering and Article 12 A committees. In prior years, she has served on numerous NYSAR, HGAR and Women’s Council committees.

She is also a Real Estate Instructor with the New York Department of State and holds designations of ABR, CBR, CIPS, CRS, E-PRO, GRI, CCIM, RSPS and PSA. Guanill is a Certified Mediator with the National Association of Realtors since 2010, and became a Certified Divorce Mediator in 2011. She has served as president of the Pelham Bay Merchants Association since September 2010 and served on Community Board 10 from 2014 to 2021.

While she was immersed in association initiatives, it was her first trip to Albany as part of the association’s annual Lobby Day junket in 2016 that prompted her to contribute to RPAC.

“Attending Lobby Day and really getting to know the work Realtors do to advocate for home ownership was really impactful for me,” Guanill said. “I’ve always been involved locally, but to see that other Realtors were also involved was very motivating.”
