LAS VEGAS—The Las Vegas Realtors announced earlier today that it has hired current Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors Chief Executive Officer Lynda Fernandez as its next CEO.
Fernandez, who announced her resignation last week as HGAR CEO effective Dec. 26 to the HGAR Board and its membership, will take on her new role with the Las Vegas Realtors on Jan. 5, 2026, according to the LVR announcement.
LVR selected Fernandez as its CEO after a lengthy nationwide search that also involved detailed interviews and several forms of feedback from multiple members of LVR, the association stated.
“We were especially impressed with her relevant experience leading similar associations in different parts of the country, along with her strong communication skills, success in increasing revenue while adding value for members and her passion for the position,” LVR President George Kypreos said. “I’m confident she’ll do great things for our members, our industry and our community.”
Las Vegas Realtors (formerly known as GLVAR) was founded in 1947 and has approximately 16,000 members. The local representative of the National Association of Realtors, LVR is the largest professional organization in Southern Nevada.
Controversy has dogged the Las Vegas Realtors of late including a lawsuit filed by former CEO Wendy DiVecchio in February 2025 against LVR and some agents for alleged wrongful termination and defamation in connection with allegations of election tampering in the August 2025 Board of Directors election, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal. Last month, an incoming Board member abruptly resigned over posting comments on social media in connection with the recent assassination of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk.

Blackstone Real Estate Debt Strategies provided the financing, the proceeds of which will be used to retire existing debt and fund future leasing activity.
