2024 Year in Review: An Industry Coping with Dramatic Changes
On the state and local levels, the real estate industry coped with high demand, low inventory and volatile interest rates as the Federal Reserve tried to battle inflation.
The law firm of McCullough, Goldberger & Staudt, LLP (MGS) in White Plains has reported the addition of Michael A. Zamat as Counsel to the firm.
Zamat joins MGS from his own private practice, Peterson Zamat LLC of Fairfield, CT, where he was lead litigation attorney representing a diverse range of clients from large companies to individuals on a wide range of matters including securities, partnership disputes and employment. Most recently, Zamat obtained a favorable settlement in a defamation case against a worldwide social media network and successfully prosecuted a large disability lawsuit against a major insurance company.
Prior to starting his own firm, Zamat served as Of Counsel for the firms of Ivey, Barnum & O’Mara in Greenwich, CT and Pastore & Dailey LLC of Stamford, CT, where he managed cases involving employment, partnership disputes, construction and real estate litigation and acted as a lead attorney in large value lawsuits against prominent worldwide banks. He assisted in the formation of Pastore & Dailey with a team of attorneys from his previous two firms Smith, Gambrell & Russell LLP of New York, NY and Fox Rothschild LLP of Stamford, CT.
