WASHINGTON—The National Association of Realtors and Realtor.com recently honored three winners of the Fair Housing Champion Award during NAR's Fair Housing Month event, "Fair Housing Forward." Honorees received recognition for their efforts to advance fair housing and expand homeownership in their communities.
This year's winners were: William “Bill” Flagg, Realtor, ERA Queen City Realty, Scotch Plains, NJ; Ennis Antoine, Managing Broker, Keller Williams West Atlanta, Atlanta, GA; and Greg Kiely, Cape Cod, MA.
With the Fair Housing Champion Award, Realtors are recognized for going above and beyond to support buyers and communities, advocating for accessible and affordable housing opportunities, and promoting consumer and Realtor fair housing education. Sponsored by Realtor.com, the award announced on April 10 provides a $5,000 prize that winners can dedicate to a housing-related nonprofit organization of their choice.
“Ensuring that every individual has a fair opportunity to achieve homeownership is fundamental to our mission,” said NAR President Kevin Sears. “These remarkable Realtors® have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to breaking down barriers and fostering stronger communities. Their efforts serve as a model for our industry and a beacon of hope for those striving to achieve the American Dream.”
Flagg has led impactful initiatives to address housing inequities, including introducing the first successful Homeownership Fair in Newark, NJ, in partnership with the Metropolitan Baptist Church. The event, attended by more than 300 community members, provided critical education on renting versus buying, credit repair, and down payment assistance. Through these initiatives, Flagg has made a lasting impact on his local Realtor association and the broader community by promoting fair housing and fostering an inclusive environment.
As a past president of the Atlanta Realtors Association, Antoine has dedicated his career to fair housing and expanding homeownership opportunities. He serves as a bridge between the real estate industry and the community, volunteering more than 150 hours annually to home construction efforts and homebuyer education. His collaboration with the City of Atlanta ensures that the Realtor voice is included in strategic planning to increase housing supply and remove barriers to homeownership. Antoine also champions fair housing education for Realtors at the state and local levels, helping to reduce discrimination and increase equitable access to housing opportunities.
Kiely spearheaded a first-of-its-kind bylaws change requiring fair housing education as a membership condition for the Cape Cod & Islands Association of Realtors. His leadership extended to NAR's Workgroup on Ongoing Mandatory Fair Housing Education, which led to the adoption of national fair housing training requirements in 2023. His efforts have ensured that fair housing education remains a cornerstone of professional development for Realtors nationwide.
“I'm incredibly proud that Realtor.com supports the Fair Housing Champion Awards, recognizing Realtors® who go beyond simply selling homes by creating opportunities for the American Dream of homeownership for everyone,” said Realtor.com Chief Marketing Officer Mickey Neuberger. “These winners are out there making a real impact, helping build stronger communities and making homeownership more accessible. It's an honor to shine a spotlight on them and celebrate their amazing work.”
