MTA CEO Janno Lieber and others expressed support for the lower tolling fee that the governor said would bring in the $15 billion to the MTA that the higher fee was projected to raise.
HAVERSTRAW—R2M Realty celebrated its 10th year in business on June 12th at Terrace on the Hudson in Haverstraw. The attendees included past and current clients, vendors and charities that the firm has given back to over the years.
“Being that we created R2M (Ready to Move) with the incentive of giving back 3% of our commission to local charities on our residential transactions, I thought it would be nice to have some of the organizations be a part of the special occasion,” commented Kenyatta Jones-Arietta, the brokerage’s founder and managing broker.
The celebration was centered around a fashion show whose models were representatives from The Nyack Center, Meals on Wheels, Rockland County Pride Center, The Center for Safety & Change, People to People, Baking Memories for Kids, the Make-a-Wish Foundation of Hudson Valley and Swim for Yinka, the newest local charity giveback, created to teach children how to swim, in honor of the late Dr. Olayinka Akisanya, who lost his life in a tragic pool drowning in 2022.
The models walked as the MC, Rudy Arietta (Kenyatta’s husband) shared what each organization does for the community. The clothing was provided by Nime Jamal of Nime Couture in Rockland, Manal Flournoy of Runway on Hudson in Orange County and Andrea Muller Swimwear.
