Tied to Success: Celebrating Women’s Progress and Leadership in Real Estate
As we celebrate Women’s History Month, we honor every woman who made real estate her platform for empowerment, for equity and for legacy.

March is a month of celebration and reflection. As we honor Women’s History Month, we are reminded that real estate has always been a profession of pioneers, people who dared to lead, to build, and to break barriers. At HGAR, we are proud to stand on the shoulders of generations of trailblazing women who transformed our industry, not only by closing deals but by opening doors for others.
Today, women make up the majority of Realtors nationwide. From agents to brokers, educators to association leaders, women are shaping the future of real estate and at HGAR, they are at the heart of our progress.
Our 2026 platform—"Tied to Success”— is anchored in the belief that when we tie every program, partnership, and policy to the success of each member, we unlock the full potential of our collective future. That includes celebrating, supporting and amplifying the contributions of women across every area of our association.
Women in real estate are entrepreneurs, community builders, mentors and investors. Yet, they still face unique challenges—from access to capital to navigating leadership roles in a male-dominated marketplace.
At HGAR, we are meeting those challenges head-on. We’re revamping New Member Orientation with high-engagement live sessions, leadership spotlights, and targeted training that speaks directly to the needs of women in the field. Through our video initiative, we’re telling the stories of women who are breaking barriers, scaling businesses and giving back.
We are also expanding professional development programs focused on small business ownership, tax strategy, and wealth building, critical tools for helping women thrive not just as agents, but as entrepreneurs.
This year, we’re training Local Political Coordinators to bring women into the legislative arena telling their stories, investing in their future, and fighting for issues that matter, from fair housing to equity. Our political system's infrastructure will prioritize inclusive candidate engagement, ensuring that our women are recognized as housing champions in the communities they serve.
As we celebrate Women’s History Month, we honor every woman who made real estate her platform for empowerment, for equity and for legacy. And as we just celebrated Black History Month in February and now Irish American Heritage Month, we remember the deep roots of resilience and determination that define so many of our stories, including immigrants who helped build the neighborhoods and housing markets we serve today.
To all the women forging new paths, and to the men who champion them, HGAR is here to ensure your work, your voice and your vision are tied to lasting success. Together, let’s make 2026 the year we lift every voice, break every ceiling, and grow this profession into one that is Tied to Success.
